Tui Cruise- 6 month contract

Around United Arabic Emirates (Dubai/Abu Dhabi)

6 Month from Germany to UAE

6 month working on a cruise ship is finished by now. It was a lot of work, new knowledge and great experience. I m happy that i did it, i met awesome people and explored new countries, i never visit before. But working on a cruise ship isnt easy, its taff. Lots of work every day and sometimes you have the feeling you never have time for yourself and remember you are a kind of never off for a periode of 6 month.

Anyway it´s done. And i left that cruise sad and happy at the same time. After 6 month it became home for me and i left good people behind. But like you maybe realize if you think of me, its time for new experience.

Everthing started in Germany. I came on that cruise. Everything was different than i expected, because living on a cruise is like living on a different world without contact to your "normal life". Everything important is happening on that ship. Your are sleepng, working, having your friends on bord, you are eating there. Really you dont need anything else except that ship, because everything you need during that 6 month is on it. If you feel like having contact with your firends and familiy its sometime hard to find good internet for that, so you have to wait again and you life on that ship continues. Everyday over 6 month i was working 10 hours, sometimes even more. On some days you found time to go out, on some you couldn´t. Days are passing, the time runs so quick and 6 month were over soon.

Dont misunderstand me, i had a good time and great people around me. But i got tired of working everyday like crazy and to follow a lot of ship rules and never had time for myself. There was no place where you could be alone, even in your cabine are your roommates (sometimes up to four people in one cabine). I was lucky and loved my roommate, she spend all that 6 month togehter with me and was the most important person on that cruise. Its Katharina. If you have a person like that on your side, you have the strengh to work every single day during that 6 month, because you are having a good time. But i dont want to imagine how it would be without a person like that. I was lucky, and she was lucky as well.

Although i tried to see much as possible of the destination of our cruises. So even when i was totally tired of work i went outside to explore the different ports and cities, we stopped. Around the United Arabic Emirates we been almost the whole time of my contract. (4 of 6 month). So i had plenty of time to explore the cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, also i did Hot Air Balloning, Jeep Safari into the desert, saw camels and flew with a water plane and explored the cities in any way. I will miss  Hummus=) and defintily the people on bord which became good friends...but some of them i will hopefully see again one day....
